Re: Changes Coming Soon! :)

Unfortunately many registrars charge a fee for moving to other registrars, and it would depend on how expensive that is. =/

Re: Changes Coming Soon! :)

It's not so much about finding it (though that is of course very important), it's about what happens to the domain after it expires. It can't be hideously expensive; I use namecheap.com and I can buy creaturetopia.net for about $10/year. If it's any more expensive than that, I suspect you're being r...

Re: Changes Coming Soon! :)

Please don't let it run out, because it's important for new users to find the site!

If you don't want to pay for it, how much is it? I could potentially do so.

Re: In regards to the recent increase in spambot activity

a) You now have to be logged in to see the forum. It might be a pain for some people (me for one) but it does seem to deter spam bots from trying to sign up. I think the fact that registrations are moderated will do much more than hiding the forums, from my experience with spambots at SHS. I think ...

Re: Banner Contest

There is no possible alternative to nornagon's suggestion. And those with epilepsy may recall the name of the forums! :D

Re: Banner Contest

Personally, I prefer Muffin's c2 jungle over Daan's green logo (which would be the one I'd choose if we went with those :)). It seems somehow warmer and more friendly, which is why I suggested using it as the default with this style. I'm wondering, Daan, if the background of yours need a pattern or ...

Re: Post Icons

I'm in agreeance with 3kul here, I think they'd look nicer as patterns rather than the metallic sheen. I like the shape of them, but the metallic sheen seems somehow--off, or something? I'm not sure.

I like the locked/sticky/announcement bits, they look great. :)

Re: Banner Contest

Well, it's easy to have multiple designs. Personally, I'd prefer if this design stayed the default; it's very visibly individual, and it stands out as interesting and beautiful. Space designs, while also quite beautiful, don't have quite the same feel of uniqueness because they're used so often. But...

Re: Banner Contest

I really, really like the first jungle one. I think it would fit absolutely fantastically with the colours of this forum theme.

Re: uhh forum view bug. and other little bugs I guess

Any chance you could make some web 2.0 styled egg icons with vector, Pezzu? Or anyone else? I agree that the proper eggs don't really fit in with the design brilliantly, but I think some well-done vector eggs would.

Re: Forum Rules

if you're so stingy to make a rule about an abstract number of words in a post, you're going to have people purposely trying to dodge that filter or rule also, last I checked, you guys have a fetish for word association threads Not necessarily, many forums have such a rule and it tends to work quit...

Re: Forum Rules

Can I suggest a rule against one or two word posts? They can be incredibly counter-productive and don't add to discussion at all. I would consider that sort of thing "spam," and I get the feeling several others here might as well.

That said, rules look good to me. :)
